STEPPING UP TO SUPERVISOR

Basic Supervisory Skills Training

Supervisor-trainingThe objective of this program is to provide a foundation of general knowledge to prepare an individual for their first management position or to enhance supervisors' understanding of their roles and function. The learning processes used are informational lectures, small and large group experiential exercises, one-on-one role plays and small group discussions.

  • Dealing with conflict and problems.
  • Understandig the MBTI and people differences.
  • Understanding your typical conflict style.
  • Developing other strategies for conflict resolution.

MODULE FOUR -- PLANNING AND COORDINATING -- SETTING EXPECTATIONS

  • Planning as a management process.
  • Defining requirements and setting goals.
  • Understanding cascading goals.
